The SWEET Project is a Social Enterprise Not-for-Profit company and, although not a registered charity, delivers a huge amount of charitable work. The business was formed in 2010 to make a difference to people’s lives and not to make a profit.
We are the largest student unit in the country and, in the first eight years of business, The SWEET Project have provided placements to more than 1000 student social workers.
The SWEET Project is committed to ensuring the provision of quality placements which, in turn, produce qualified social workers of high quality. In this connection, we have been asked to advise government departments (the Department of Health and the Department for Education) to help shape the future of social work in this country.

Having started from scratch without any business background to speak of, the founding Directors Jayne Hulbert and Jayne Cresswell are happy to pass on their knowledge and insight to start-up businesses in order to assist in the development of new projects and help them to avoid the pitfalls often encountered when setting up new companies. Meeting rooms are available for hire @ £50 per half day. A flip-chart, projector and refreshments can be supplied if required. A large training room is available for large groups at certain times.
