The SWEET Project offers wide range of support and advice to adults in times of need.
We aim to strengthen emotional health, wellbeing and resilience by building confidence, self-esteem, coping mechanisms, reducing social isolation and connecting people with useful services in their community. We also offer transition support for young adults / school leavers and older people.

Services
Information & Advice
We offer an advisory drop in service 10am – 2pm daily. Here you can receive advice on benefits, debt management, housing advice and information about local services and support groups.
Generation X
Wednesday mornings 10am – 12pm
Our support group for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren aims to combat social isolation and to empower older carers of children/young people by giving them advice and guidance and, at the same time, the opportunity to connect with and support each other.
Werther’s Original
Tuesday & Friday mornings 10am – 12pm
A group for service users who want to socialise with other adults. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available.
Service Users’ Forum
Our Service Users’ Forum enables service users to shape the way in which we deliver our services. This can include being part of interviewing panels for new student applications as well as induction programmes and training for student social workers.
Other ways we can help
We provide a variety of services to support individuals and carers access the support they need. This includes people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, dementia and those transitioning into adult services or residential care.

All our staff are DBS checked. Please note, we do not assist with tasks of daily living, manual handling, or caring and supervision duties. We do not provide transport services.
We accept referrals from local authority and healthcare professionals and other organisations. Please contact us for a referral form.
