“We have been placing students at the Sweet Project for both 70 and 100 day placements for the past seven years. Over that time the project has expanded the range of work it carries out in the community, and therefore expanded the range of opportunities available to students for direct work with people who use services. Students are able to undertake a range of work which is appropriate to the placement level they are at. They are able to get involved in a range of interventions with families, vulnerable adults, and groups. Alongside support from practice educators on site, students are also able to access valuable support with their personal well-being as and when needed. In our experience students have found the well-being support particularly helpful and we consider this to be a really positive element of placements for students at the Sweet Project.”
